We had court today at Noon. It was quick! We were the very first family to be seen and were finished by 12:20pm. It was a nice size room with the judge and his panel on a platform, another desk with the respresenative from the SDA, orpahange and the prosecutor. The four of us were joined by our interpretor, Irina, who translated as we went along. They had Wayne and I each stand and say our names, birthdates and address. Wayne spoke on our behalf. He told the judge how we were looking forward to having Timur and Natalia included in our family. They would have the medical and educational support that they need. The judge asked if we had any more children? We turned around to Taylor and Tanner. The judge asked them if they wanted this adoption. Both kids were smiling ear to ear and gave a confident, Yes! It was so nice to see the judge smile at us. That was his way of saying, Congratulations! It was an emotional time for us. We were declared their parents by 12:20pm. It was professional and offical. It was quick and to the point. It was the day we have looked forward to for 6 months and it's over. We thank God for allowing us this awesome responsibility. We feel overwhelmed with His love for each of us.

We are on our way to visit OUR children, gotta go!

Hooray! We are so happy court went well and that TImur and Natalia are yours now :) Praise God! That must be a wonderful feeling-- its all down hill from here and soon you'll be going home!

Praise God!!! I am so glad it went so well. Our court process was hectic and so nerveracking. The whole process was about 2 hours. They had told us that men usually speak in court, but our judge asked me all the questions from financies to discipline to religion. Our translator was surprised she thought maybe it was because my husband is in the ministry that to show repect he did not question the "clergy."
I still give Paul a hard time about how hard court was for me. It is amazing how quick your whole process has been. God was ready for these children to come home. I guess they did not wave the waiting period.??? I am so glad your children are there bonding with their new sibs. What precious memories you are making. It is finally warming up here. We came home March 31 in 2005 with Kate. It was so fun to come home to spring weather. Kate loved to play outside soak up the sun. It looks like your kiddos will be ready to shed all those coats and just soak up some sun while playing outside. God Bless you and your new family of 6, Sydney

I am in total awe of how quickly God has moved in this entire process! What an amazing testimony! Meghan & Wayne, your faithfulness and complete trust in the Lord has been rewarded! Let there never be any doubt about this part of His plan for your lives! I will pray particularly in the next few weeks for patience and contentment. I can't imagine how much harder it will be to seemingly just sit there waiting until someone tells you that you can all go home! Use this time to bask in His love and peace. I pray you will be able to really rest. I pray this will be a truly sweet time and that THESE next few weeks will someday become your "happy place" when life gets hard and hectic at home.
