We are on our way!

Good Morning and Good Bye!
We are so excited to be leaving this morning, as a family to the Ukraine. No Good Byes to one other just, "Come on lets go!" Everyone is anxious and exited, in a good way. I feel like we have been on this journey for a while, actually we have just begun. Please remember us as you wear your Help Bring Timur Home bracelets. Let it be a reminder where we are and what we are doing. Our only motive is to rescue a child in need of a home. We are blessed to finally be at this point. We will be in contact as often as possible. Thank You for joining us as we Bring Timur Home! Please be praying for what God has in store for our family. We want Him to change us make us more like Him every single day. We are off to a great start today!
Blessings,
Meghan

Thank You - Prayer - Praise!

Before we leave on the trip of a lifetime I wanted to take the time to say Thank You!
Thank you for your support, prayers, gifts and words of encouragement. We are a blessed family. It is exciting to see God use each one of you in Helping Bring Timur Home! You are very much a part of this journey we are on. Thank You for your responses today. They kept me on track and focused as I continued to take care of last min. preparations. Since this is now a private blog, invited members only, I feel like I can share my heart more freely. Our adoption story is our own, each one is different. We could not be more blessed to be on our way to rescuing a little boy with Down Syndrome who will be celebrating his 3rd birthday this Sunday. I am truly amazed that God would allow us this privilege. With that said, many of you have been praying for this process, from the very beginning until now. Thank You for your faithfulness. As you know we stood at the foot of a mountain this past week, financially. We were given a short amount of time to get our affairs in order and accept their invitation to come rescue our son. This is the day we have been waiting for. We have been blessed by many of you and we humbly say Thank You from the bottom of our hearts. Thank You for sacrificing so we could continue this journey. We were expecting a miracle! We do not believe God has brought us this far "to drop us off." We continue to believe it is God's will for our family to bring Timur home. It may not be the way we had planned but it is His plan. We ask that you pray that the Lord would continue to bless our efforts so we can pay off the loan we acquired to complete this adoption. I would love to come home in 4-5 weeks and there be a check waiting for us reading, PAID in FULL! God knows we can not afford a payment along with a new child. I have to continue to leave this at His feet. Please join me in prayer as I leave this burden for Him and enjoy one of the most meaningful times of my life and the lives of my family. Thank You for continuing to follow with us and may the journey continue...
Blessings,
Meghan

We are going private!

Due to security purposes our blog will be going private Friday, February 27th. If you would like to be invited to follow our adoption journey please e-mail me your e-mail address to: meghandickinson@cox.net and I will be happy to include you. This is only available for the first 100 followers. (Blogger will only allow 100 followers, not me). The only requirement is that you have to comment often, no lurkers. We will depend on your comments to help us through this journey and would appreciate them too. With that said, we would appreciate your prayers as all 4 of us board a plane headed for Ukraine THIS Saturday. There will be many "firsts" for our family so we need to know we are covered in prayer by our dearest friends and family. Don't forget, send me your e-mail. I'd hate for you to miss out on this journey of a lifetime. :)
I am so excited!
Here we come!
Blessings,
Meghan

7 Days and Counting...

We need a Miracle! Please join us in prayer as we are coming close to the trip of a lifetime. In just 7 days we will all 4 be boarding a plane to rescue Timur. There is still so much to be done and needs to be met. God knows the details. We appreciate your prayers. We feel it is God's will to rescue these children from the institutions they are bound for. Not to give up! He is the ultimate provider and we believe He will provide. If we had a million dollars and our paperwork didn't go through it wouldn't matter. Our paperwork has sailed on through now it's about the money still needed. Man will let us down but God will not. He will never leave us.
It's never been about Wayne or Meghan. This mission has always been about the life of a child. If you could only know the truth we've learned you would be in agreement, this is no place for any child. Timur deserves the love a family.
This is our heart today as we pray for God to move in a powerful way!
Blesings,
Meghan

No new news yet but we are home!

We have no new news on the adoption front. We are currently waiting on our SDA appointment. Our facilitator requested a date of March 2nd. We are patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for confirmation of when it's our turn to travel. I am anxious and exited all at once. I can hardly wait for Victoria to call me with the good news. We have plans to make, flights to schedule and bags to pack. Right now I am really busy unpacking our whole, entire house. For those of you who don't know, we had a kitchen fire the week before Thanksgiving. We have been living in a 3rd story apartment ever since. With much hard work and many hours later we were able to move back home this weekend. I can honestly say, There is NO place like home. I slept like a rock. Anyway, I have plenty to keep me busy until our appointment to rescue Timur. My hands are busy but my mind is on him. I long to meet him, love him and cuddle with him. It won't be long before that time is a reality. Until then I will unpack this house, one box at a time. :) By the way, my sister gave us my nephew's crib for Timur. It's so fun to go look in Tanner's room where Timur will soon be. Tanner is so excited to be a Big Brother! Please continue to pray for our adoption process. God knows the details and when it's the perfect time to rescue Timur and welcome him home! Thank You for your continued prayers and support.
Blessings,
Meghan

We are submitted!

Praise the Lord! Our dossier was accepted and submitted today. We will now wait for our SDA appointment, invitation to travel. Our facilitator requested an appointment date of March 2nd. That's one month from today! That means we could actually be in country on Timur's birthday, March 1st. I will keep you posted on the official time we are given. We have so much to look forward to. The Lord knows the monies still needed to rescue Timur and He knows the best time for our family to travel. We covet your prayers as we continue this process of adoption.
I am so very excited! :)
Blessings,
Meghan
